Very reliable reports indicate that a closed door meeting has just ended tonight at the residence of Nankhumwa in Blantyre.
It is reported that present were over 20 MPs who also attended the Mangochi caucus presided over by the DPP president at his retirement home.
It is said that the legislators laid bare everything discussed in the caucus and retained their support for The DPP Vice President for the southern region.
Meanwhile, a plan B has been hatched: should the DPP go ahead in submitting the name of Francis Kasaira as Leader of Opposition, the group will urgently obtain an injunction stopping the same.
Should the courts rule in favour of the party, the plan is to immediately form a pressure group and move to the independent benches in parliament.
The pressure group will be named Democratic Patriotic Front.
