Dust is refusing to settle within former ruling DPP’s fold, following the resignation of Chris Michael Thaulo as the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
The incident comes amid growing struggle for power in the party, a situation brought to light by the position of leader of opposition in parliament.
Thaulo says he has left the party due to growing disagreements within its leadership.
Thaulo has since urged other members in the party to ensure that there is order so that the party revives itself politically.
Meanwhile, estranged DPP vice president – Kondwani Nankhumwa says he has no intentions to join MCP and UTM or form a party as it been highly speculated.
He spoke in Bangwe on Sunday as he is now legally challenging a decision by DPP President Peter Mutharika for him to step down as leader of opposition in parliament.
