Battling through the unforgiving 42.195km course, Kasunda’s tenacity led him to secure an admirable 17th position, a testament to his unwavering spirit and dedication.

The National Sports Council’s Vice Board Chairperson, Charles Ulaya, was deeply moved by Kasunda’s extraordinary achievement and promptly acknowledged his exceptional performance. As a token of appreciation for his awe-inspiring feat, Kasunda was awarded a cash prize of K50,000, recognizing the sheer grit and fortitude displayed by this remarkable 60-year-old athlete.
