Malawi National Football Team head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has urged the Flames to maintain tactical discipline and stay focused ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group B qualifier against Angola.
The Flames go into the match with three points after securing a 2-1 victory over South Sudan in their opening qualifier at Bingu National Stadium.
Pasuwa says the away fixture will require a different approach, with the team needing to maintain a good balance between attack and defence while remaining disciplined throughout the match.
The coach has stressed the importance of keeping the team’s shape, particularly when possession changes, to avoid leaving spaces for Angola to exploit.
He believes the victory over South Sudan has given the players confidence, but cautions that they must remain focused and disciplined as they seek another positive result in Luanda.
Pasuwa has appealed to Malawians to continue supporting the Flames, saying the players are representing the country and carrying the national badge.
Malawi has three points from one match in Group B, while Egypt leads the group with four points from two matches.
