On 13th March 2023, Bishop Chris Suya and his wife Thoko Suya partnered Bertha Simwaka reaching out for Manja and Ndirande camp in Blantyre where thousands of victims have been affected by Cyclone Freddy.
Speaking to our reporter Bishop Suya believes his calling is for the needy therefore helping the vulnerable is reciprocating to God’s Logos.
“As a family we felt obliged to reach out where we could afford with the little we have, thanking Bertha Simwaka who joined hands with us by delivering bales of sugar and other groceries to Ndirande and Manja camps. As a Pastor I could not sit back and wait for Sunday services rather encouraging the church which has its own Humatarian department to render help where necessary. ” Bishop Suya of Beracah International Assemblies of God
Cyclone Freddy has for the past four days affected the Southern part of Malawi having killed atleast 225 people and thousands of people affected in Blantyre, Phalombe, Mwanza, Mulanje and the lower Shire area.
