Today, the 20th November, 2020, area 23 community policing
moves in to bring down cases connected to the newly revised affordable fertilizer program commonly called Affordable Input Program (AIP) by series of sensitisation campaigns targeting in selling depots within the area.
Currently, there have been increased reports of unscrupulous traders who have invaded the market to rob innocent Malawians of their right to access the fertilizer at a cheaper price set by the government.
In view of this, police officers from community policing branch led by Inspector F. Majoni take a step to prevent such malpractices within the area by reaching out to the concerned parties.
“Let no one take advantage of you, and know that the price has not changed,” said Majoni.
After the excise, the community was thankful to the police for giving no space to these heartless traders who took advantage of these beneficiaries by adjusting the price deliberately.
“Even your presence alone helps to prevent these crimes so we urge you not to stop visiting us,” said one of the beneficiaries.
