The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the 2025 Castel Challenge Cup has progressed as the competition reaches the semifinal stage.
FAM Competitions and Communications Director, Gomezgani Zakazaka, described the Castel Challenge Cup as a big and highly competitive tournament, highlighting its inclusive nature that brings together teams from district level, regional leagues, the National Division League (NDL), and the Super League.
Ahead of the upcoming semifinals, Zakazaka said FAM has engaged the referees’ body to ensure that professional and competent match officials are appointed to handle the high-stakes encounters.
He added that, in line with tradition, all teams that have reached the semifinals will receive jerseys.
In the semifinals, Goshen City Dedza Dynamos FC will face Blue Eagles FC on Saturday, 7 February 2026, while FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC will lock horns with Mzuzu City Hammers FC on Sunday, 8 February 2026. Both matches will be played at Kamuzu Stadium.
The 2025 Castel Challenge Cup final will be staged at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday, 15 February 2026.
