Avantmalawi has discovered that Councilors who visited the State President today are complaining that they were given K20,000 sitting allowance, which is not inline according to councillors condition of service 2019. In their streamlined conditions it states that seating allowances for city councillors is MK25,000 plus fuel reimbursement of 12 litres or an equivalent transportation of MK33,000
In a separate interview with Avantmalawi, Cllr Balaba has requested advisors to the State House to work on the condition of services, he is suspicious of reoccurrence of the same when they will be meeting the first Citizen,, as he believes Blantryre city comprises of 80% Dpp cllrs.
In his words, Blantyre Nyambadwe Councilor Balaba is seen joking, part of his joke quoted “in Cannaan we can’t believe that we have received K20,000 allowances.”
Cllr Balaba is only Outstanding Cllrs of UTM in southern Regional and is well known of talking Facts without Fear as he once upon appear in a video where he was arguing with DPP Councillors at the Blantyre City Council before Fresh Presidential Election…
