Kawale OC calls for collaborative approach towards crime combat.

The Officer In- Charge responsible for Kawale Police Station Mr Timothy Phiri Senior Assistance Commissioner of Police (SACP) has on Friday, December 15, 2023 urged Officers at Kang’oma Police Unit to embrace a collaborated approach in the fight against crime.

In his familiarisation tour, Mr Timothy Phiri visited Kang’oma Police Unit which is one of Kawale’s lower formation where he had to lecture his subbordinates with an aim of creating a platform to desserminate his plans towards crime fight, know each other and also hear their concerns.

During this meeting, the officers were encouraged to always put God first in their daily endevours, love each other, unity of purpose .

Phiri who stressed a love aspect among officers as a weapon to over come external forces that might bring down the fire in crime fight.

The OC, Mr Timothy Phiri further encouraged officers to work hand in hand with the community members within the rular setup.

Kawale top boss, Mr Timothy Phiri was welcomed by Sub Inspector John Namowa the In charge of Kang’oma Police Unit.

Namowa expressed his gratetudes to the OC, Mr Phiri for the visit citing that it is a morale boost among the juniors at the unit and will also improve existing relationship with chiefs and villagers within Kang’oma.

However, Sub Inspector John Namowa took advantage to mention some of the challenges encountered at the unit such as lack of gasoline for the motorcycle which poses mobility challenge, office structure that need reignforcement of cells and fixing of window glasses.

Meanwhile, Mr Phiri has made a promise to address their concerns.

The Officer In-Charger, further extended his visit to Senior Chief Tsabango headquaters where he had to introduce himself as the new Kawale Police top boss and lobby the Senior Chief for his support in deflating crime in the area.

Senior Chief Tsabango promised his full support and he has opened the doors of his palace.
