NAKA CAVE IN THAILAND
• PETRIFIED GIANT SNAKE OR ROCK?
It is said to be a rock or fossil of some kind of Creature, particularly a snake.
It is called Naka Cave, and it is found in Thailand’s Phu Langka National Park, Bueng Kan Province.
Many people have suggested that the strange formations inside the cave – and the patterns of the rocks outside – are indeed the fossilised remains of a giant snake.
Not necessarily a nāga (a mythical giant snake) from Buddhist mythology, but instead the remains of the largest snake that ever roamed the earth known as the Titanoboa.
Titanaboa lived in the Paleocene era, a period that lasted from about 66 to 56 million years ago.
The cave was first discovered when a PhD student, Edwin Cadena at Universidad del Rosario, Columbia, correctly identified some fossilised remains of a Boa Constrictor near the Naka Cave.
