The Officer In-Charge for Kawale Police Station Mr Devlin Mwamkili Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) has reaffirmed his committiment in crime fight.
During the meeting held at Kawale community Hall, the Officer In-Charge (OC), Mr Devlin Mwamkili (DCP),the Station Officer (SO) Supritendent Gladys Chiwaula, Supritendent Mike Simika (GDO), and the head of detectives, Inspector Gift Mwahala were unveiled as new managers of Kawale.

In his familiarization tour he has called upon the local leaders to be actively involved in the fight against heinous crimes.
“Collective approach in policing is what we need for criminality to be reduced” said Mwamkili
Mr Mwamkili highlighted several initiatives that can help in halting crimes such as neighborhood watch, reporting suspicious individuals, and enhanced police visibility.
He further informed the chiefs that police is moving with speed to draw law enforcers closer to communities through the opening of new Police Units, he therefore encouraged those that move long distances in accessing police services to utilize the opportunity.
The Station Officer(SO) Supritendent Gladys Chiwaula opened the meeting with advise to local leaders that they should be flexible communicating with new management on issues concerning security.

Inspector Mayeso Chikadza Community Policing Coordinator further highlighted the issues of mob justice, drowning issues and information sharing.
The councilor for Biwi Trouble Kamanga welcomed the new management and promised to take lead in the formation of Community Policing Forums in his ward so that security is enhanced citing that development follows an area that has security.
