Police in Kawale have intensified investigations to bring to book a fugitive drug dealer, currently known by his nickname ‘Sibweni.
Police received a tip-off from well wishers concerning suspicious transaction happening at one of a business person’s house in Area 23 location.
Acting on the information Kawale detectives led by the Station Criminal Investigations Officer (SCIO), spotted the house and set surveillance team.Upon gathering enough evidence of his presence at that particular moment detectives gained entry into his house.
However, seeing uninvited guests in his compound, the suspect sniffed danger and immediately find his way out using the back door, then jumped the fence to unknown destination.
During the operation, detectives found cartons of assorted medical drugs believed to be out sourced from Government Hospitals through illegal channels.
Meanwhile, the medical drugs have been seized as investigations are underway to trace the author of the case.The seized drugs include cartons of coartem for kids, drips of ringer lactate fluids, Micromol Paracetamol, Benzel Penicillin for injection, Amoxicillin Capsules, Benzathine and assorted tablets in bottles.
Police would wish to thank members of the community for the information that led to uncover the syndicate and further call for information that will help in tracing the fugitive suspect and his accomplice.
