Kawale OC caution subordinates on Uniform policy, discipline.

Kawale Police Station Officer In-Charge, Mr Davie Chilalire Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) has on Monday , October 14, 2024 warned officers under his command to adhere to the stipulations within organization’s Uniform Policy at all times.

Mr Davie Chilalire made the call during lecture he called in response to the communique from Central West Regional Headquarters (CWR) on Uniform and Dress Code in force.

Mr Chilalire, advised officers under his command to display standards within the organization culture and meet the expectations of people out there by among others wearing police issued uniforms with it’s intended fashion. He then warned that compliance is a must as failing to do so will attract disciplinary actions to the concerned officer.

According to the communication altering of police uniforms to slim fit style, drawing of tattooes on ones body, wearing of earrings by male officers, folding of short sleeves of uniforms,very long hair braids or extensions, tinting or locking hair whether natural or artificial and wearing of desert boots not supplied by MPS are some of the restrictions that officers have been warned of.

During the meeting, Mr Chilalire reminded all officers about time management, warned against beer drinking whilst on duty and absentism .

He therefore urged all officers to give out the stipulated time for duty to the organization and later do their personal entitlements.

Furthermore, Mr Chilalire ACP utilized the same meeting to remind officers on welfare contributions, citing that such brings togetherness amongst officers.

Before taking his seat the Officer In-Charge Mr Chilalire hailed officers for the increased visibility contributed by night and day patrols conducted within Kawale policing area.

The meeting was attended by all Officers In-Charge of Kawale lower formations of Area 24,23, 44, Biwi and Kang’oma.
