The Commissioner of Police for Central West Region (CWR), Mr Emmanuel Soko has charged officers at Kawale Police Station to be good disciples and imitate the foot prints of the out going Officer In Charge (OC) and Station Officer (S/O) for them to finish the race well.
The Commissioner was speaking on Friday, May 17 2024 during a farewell party organised to bid good-bye to the two top bosses at the station, Mr Timothy Phiri Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) and Superintendent Chrispine Zintambira who were Officer In-Charge and Station Officer respectively.
“Embrace leadership of that moment, support any senior officer assigned to lead Kawale despite having different leadership style, adjust and follow the leader of that time. This will help you meet the expectations of the community and at the same time meet the standard of the leadership of the day,” said Commissioner Soko.
He further advised officers to imitate from the two out going cops who were zealous in crime fight .

“As you exit police, hang your boots and hand cuffs, we still recognise your legacy and all your contributions towards the fight against crime in the region,” Commissioner Soko observed.
Senior Chief Tsabango extended his final blessings to the two, wishing the duo a happy and strong retirement life while accepting that this double exit is a loss but also observed that everything under the sun has its beginning and ending.
Tsabango further commended the two for the service rendered during their stay at Kawale Police Station and the strategy they put in place that has given an insight to chiefs in his area to work hand in hand with police.
Both Phiri and Zintambira have reached government mandatory retirement this year having served for 34 years and 38 years respectively.
The duo’s benedictional word was almost the same, giving thanks to God for reaching this far and advising officers present to let God be on the lead.
“Be like an eagle, it fortifies its house on the cliff of a rock in case of stormy weather,” they said.
The out-going Officer In-Charge, Mr Timothy Phiri, concluded by scriptures from the book of Mathew 8:23-28.
Ward councillors, Regional Executive Committee (REC) and the Station Executive Committee (SEC) chairpersons were present during the function.
