3 Workers deported from Israel

Three young individuals from Malawi who had traveled to Israel to work on farms have been sent back to Malawi after they absconded from their assigned duties to pursue employment elsewhere. The Lions Recruitment Agency director, Chifundo Banda, confirmed this development, refraining from disclosing their identities for security and reputational reasons.

Banda expressed disappointment over the situation, highlighting the potential long-term repercussions of deportation on the deported individuals’ future employment prospects, not only in Israel but globally. He emphasized that such deportations could adversely affect ongoing projects and deter future Malawian candidates from participating in similar programs.

Moreover, Banda underscored the risks associated with working illegally, including excessive working hours, harsh working conditions, limited access to healthcare, and exposure to unlawful directives.
