Malawi Police on Monday, 23rd of May has refuted claims that they assaulted Clifford Khomba.
Mr Khomba who hit three traffic police Officer last week at Bestobel, sustained wounds on his body.
His brother, Richard Khomba claims the man was assaulted by Police officers and went to Queens Elizabeth hospital with multiple injuries.
However, Malawi Police spokesperson for the South West claims that Khomba was assaulted by the general public on the scene not Malawi Police.
Currently, the man who can hardly speak or eat is in police custody while nursing his wounds at Queens Elizabeth hospital in Blantyre
