THIAGO RETURNS TO FULL TEAM TRAINING

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has returned to full team training ahead of a busy Christmas fixture list after missing the last nine games with a knee injury.

The midfielder joined the Reds from Bayern Munich in £25million deal during the summer transfer window but has been limited to just two appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

After missing two games due to contracting coronavirus in September, Thiago returned to face Everton but was injured following a rash tackle from Richarlison, which saw the Brazilian sent off.

The 29-year-old hasn’t played since but is edging close towards a welcome return.

He was pictured undertaking individual training last week with Klopp explaining that the midfielder would have to pass certain tests before he could join in with the rest of the squad.

But it appears Thiago has met the necessary requirements as he was seen back in full team training on Wednesday.
