Kawale Police call for property identification, arrests 3 over theft

Police at Kawale in Lilongwe have recovered several stolen properties whose victims are yet to be identified, and arrested three individuals in connection to theft and house breaking cases.

The trio, identified as Matthews Juma (34), Bulaya Village, Traditional Authority (TA) Mazengera in Lilongwe, Davie Edmos (35), Mpondasi Village, TA Mponda in Mangochi, and Precious Dambula (20), Kawale 1 Village, TA Tsabango in Lilongwe.

The suspect Madalitso is believed to have broken into a house of a certain businessman and went away with Television Screen, GoTv decoder and other items which he sold to Madalitso Ngala and the same were traced by police detectives.

After this, the detectives arrested him and further found him with several items that he could not account for.

Among the recovered items are, Hisense Plasma Screen grey in colour, D jack Subwoofer, HP CPU computer box, Acer Laptop computer, HP Laptop computer black in colour, Thinkpad Laptop, ZOTAC CPU computer box, 3 Hybrid big speakers, 2 uncovered speakers, 2 twitters without subwoofer, Dell computer box, one Sound mixer, 3 amplifiers, one Bluetooth speaker, one Sub woofer without twitters.Telefunken 75 inches and fuel tank lids,

At the house of Precious Dambula, the police recovered assorted Motor-vehicle logos, indicators, fuel tank lids and many others.

Currently only two items have been identified, Television Screen and a laptop computer.

The Station therefore, wishes to extend the call for identification of the mentioned recovered items.

The three suspects have been commiting these crimes in Chipasula, Area 22 and Biwi locations in Kawale with some targeting household items while others focusing on motor vehicles, scrapping off vehicle logos, indicators and other accessories.
