TAFIKA SPORTS ACADEMY SHINES BRIGHT IN NEED TALENT POOL

As the countdown to the National finals of the Malawi Schools Sports Associations (MASSA) games continues, Tafika Sports Academy emerges as a standout performer in the North East Education Division (NEED). With the highly anticipated national finals scheduled for August 28, 2023, in Lilongwe, the spotlight falls on the exceptional talents fostered by Tafika Sports Academy.

During the Regional finals of the MASSA games held on August 21 and 22 in Mzuzu, organized by the North East Education Division, Tafika Sports Academy made a notable mark by producing a remarkable pool of talent. Five players from Tafika Sports Academy earned their positions across various sports disciplines to represent NEED at the forthcoming event.

Cromwell Kumwenda, Praise Zgambo, and James Jere have clinched spots in football, showcasing their prowess on the field. Adding to this impressive lineup is Hannah Nkosi, who has been selected for girls’ soccer, demonstrating her exceptional skills. Not to be outdone, Chibe Innocent will take on the challenge of the 100 meters marathon, showcasing both speed and endurance.

Shupo Kumwenda, the Director of Tafika Sports Academy, expressed his elation and pride at the accomplishments of their athletes. He stated that the selection of five players from the academy is a monumental achievement and a testament to the dedication and hard work put in by both the athletes and the academy’s coaching staff.

Situated in the heart of Mzimba district, Ekwaiwen Tafika Sports Academy has undoubtedly become a beacon of excellence in sports education and development. Their commitment to nurturing talent across various disciplines has resulted in a lineup of exceptional athletes poised to shine on the national stage.
