FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION IN MALAWI RECOMMENDS NYASA BIG BULLETS FOR PROACTIVENESS TO COVID19

The Football Association Malawi (FAM) COVID-19 Taskforce would like to commend Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club for their proactiveness in taking their players and officials for COVID 19 testing after presenting COVID 19 related symptoms and for further testing the entire team as primary contacts to the positive colleagues in line with national guidelines on contact tracing for COVID 19 patients.

The Taskforce is working very closely with SULOM, the teams and Ministry of Health in ensuring adherence to national COVID-19 and Football restart guidelines in the management of the situation at hand.

Please take note that we are swiftly arranging for the testing of all the people who were in contact with Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club personal during their most recent fixture ( Players, Officials, Referees, and Ball retrievers ).

All football stakeholders are being advised not to panic as the situation is under control.

FAM is getting all the necessary advice and support from COVID-19 specialists in line with the set preventive measures of the Malawi government guidelines on COVID 19 management.

FAM and the Super League of Malawi will continue to operate and govern the elite league in line with the set guidelines by both the Malawi government and FAM.

FAM wishes those diagnosed with COVID 19 a safe and speedy recuperation and advice the entire football community to continue wearing masks, social distancing, and practice hand hygiene at all times.
