Kawale Police is keeping in custody a tax driver for defiling a 13 year old girl.
The suspect identified as Alex Msiska, 42, has been arrested on Friday, July 1, 2022 .
According to report received, the suspect took the victim (name withheld) in his car on June 26 this year from Kawale 2 location en-route to Chilinde and upon reaching Matchansi he enticed the young girl with K500 and defiled her inside his car.
After this incident the suspect gave the victim his phone number to bridge the communication gap.
When reaching home, the victim was failing to walk properly, a thing that her mother noticed, being questioned the girl narrated the whole scenario to her mother who alerted police for action.
A medical report was issued to Kamuzu central hospital which came out with positive results of penetration.
Deep rooted investigations were instituted by Kawale detectives to trace this unknown tax driver and through information gathering the team has arrested Msiska.
Earlier this week detectives arrested another tax driver, Dickson Makwenda, 27, of Lumwera Village Traditional Authority Kachindamoto in Dedza for defiling a young girl who came in Kawale for the first time and missed the direction of her home only to meet the suspect who took advantage of the girl , abducted for two days and defiled her in the process.
The suspect will be appearing in court soon to answer a charge of defilement which is contrary to section 138 of the penal code.
Msiska comes from Kabudula Village Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe in Rumphi District.
