In Ntcheu, three unidentified people have died while 11 others have sustained various degrees of injuries after a minbus they were travelling in overturned.
The accident occurred on Saturday, July, 2 during the afternoon hours at Dingisako village along Dedza-Ntcheu M1 road.
The accident which involved a motor vehicle registration number NS 6938 Toyota Hiace Minbus, was being driven by the unknown male driver, now deceased, from the direction of Dedza heading Ntcheu with 16 passengers on board.
Upon arrival at Dingisako village, due to over speeding, the rear nearside tyre got burst and the vehicle overturned to the far right.
Due to the impact, the driver, and 2 unknown female passengers were pronounced dead upon arrival at Lizulu Health centre due to severe head injuries.
Other 11 passengers sustained various degrees of injuries and were all taken to Dedza District Hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile police in the district are appealing to the public to contact the nearest police formation if any of their relative is reported missing.
