Illegal entry and found in possession of dangerous weapons(AK47rifles, 3 in number) Contrary to security/sadc regulations.
Occurred on 15/09/2021 at Nkhanga area. At about 1600hrs.
Brief facts are that 4 police officers in uniform came to the area which is in Malawi with an aim of arresting Daud Mbukwa, aged 30years, vge Mkoma 3, TA Kameme, Dist. Chitipa, for unknown reason. The officers claimed that Daud who is a chairman of Jeremiah community policing at Nkhanga is their friend, later, the villagers saw a police vehicle and they wanted the officers not to arrest Daud. As Daud heard this, he rushed to Ipenza police unit and reported the issue and within a short time, the group followed and the four officers were’ rescued by the two police officers stationed at Ipenza police unit. The Tanzanian police officers entered Malawi without seeking permission from Malawi.. The officers are,

This has been a habit by the Tanzanian police for quite a long time.. The driver was hacked after refusing to debus from the vehicle a Toyota Land cruiser Reg. No. PT 367.
So far 3 AK 47 rifles have been confiscated and unspecified number of live ammunitions. Battery and a spare wheel stolen by the angry mob. Vehicles glasses smashed.
