A picture tells a thousand stories, those that have done photography studies are aware about this, recently a photo of president Lazarus Chakwera interacting with two kids through smiles and eye contact has went viral telling more than a thousand stories.
A 26 year old Jozy Mataya is the brain behind the extraordinary picture which unveils social connectivity between the two local kids and the citizen number one.
Mataya told our reporters that he operates his Photoshoot business at Juma Ghetto within the heart of Kasungu ‘boma’.
“I took my camera for one reason, I love Dr Lazarus Chakwera so much and I wanted to take a picture of his car and put it on my desktop computer, but when I shot the picture it went viral and people loved it, I never expected it like seriously,” Said Mataya.
Mataya hold a diploma in Agriculture from Mwimba College of Agriculture and he did his Secondary School at Chaminade boys.
Due to job scarcity he ventured into photography, he established Malavi Media and he recruited three other individuals who he work with at his shop.
He said he believe in working hard rather than getting things on a silver platter.
“As an upcoming photographer i urge investors to help me so that I can improve my talent beyond because we can not all be employed,” Added Mataya.
On whether he expects anything from the president Mataya said “I hope he has seen the picture but we can not tell the president what to do, hopefully he will choose to uplift my talent anyhow.”
