Mzuzu Fire SC, the pinnacle of Northern Region sports, unveils the transformative Katoto Primary School – Mzuzu Fire SC Bursary Scheme. Today marked the inception at Katoto Primary School, with the first payment benefiting 30 ambitious students, forming a gender-balanced mix of girls and boys.
Guiding this initiative, Vice Chairperson Maggie Banda underscores the team’s commitment to shouldering the weight of school fees, envisioning a future where academics and volleyball flourish hand in hand.
Head Teacher Madam Rosena Mgode extends heartfelt gratitude, recognizing the profound impact on the students’ lives. The bursary scheme, she emphasizes, serves as a powerful encouragement, igniting a renewed sense of hope within Katoto’s classrooms.

This initiative transcends financial aid; it carries the mantra “Aim Higher, Work Harder, Shine Brighter.” It’s a rallying cry, sparking the potential within each student and promising a path where academic brilliance and athletic prowess coexist.
Team Fire’s vision extends beyond Katoto, as they aim to sustain the Mzuzu Fire Bursary Scheme until December 2025. This commitment forms a lasting legacy of opportunity and empowerment, amplified within their Team Fire Volleyball Academy. Here, academic dedication intertwines seamlessly with athletic training, shaping well-rounded student athletes who shine both on and off the court.

Let the flames of hope soar! With Team Fire at the helm, the future for these 30 students, and many more to come, radiates as brilliantly as the sun over Mzuzu.
