Kawale Police Station through its Community Policing Branch on July 29, 2025 spearheaded security meeting with local Leaders brainstorming strategies towards crime combat.
Speaking during the meeting, Kawale Police Officer-In-Charge Mr Davie Chilalire Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) highlighted the need of chiefs to actively participate in crime fight by among others having active Community Policing Forums (CPF), Information sharing that includes reporting of suspicious individuals to police.
Said Chilalire. “The fight against crime is incomplete without chiefs participation at grassroots, let’s join hands with police to repel crimes in our society”
He further urged chiefs to prioritize the revamption of Community Policing Forums (CPF) teams in their areas.
The meeting was rich with strategies that aims at scaling down heinous crimes which invites unrest and sow disorder within our communities. Information sharing, joint night patrols are amongst the strategies shared.
The meeting was welcomed by chiefs in good faith, 27 chiefs attended who pledged of their total support.
In extension, chiefs had discussion on long term developmental projects at the office which is also the passion of the OC to create conducive working place.
Speaking on behalf of other chiefs Group Village Headman Kalonga extended his gratefulness to Kawale Police for the timely meeting like this and further more took it as a privilege to thank Kawale Police Officer In-Charge, Mr Davie Chilalire ACP and his team for timely responding to incidents that need urgent security indulgence once it arise in their localities.
He further hailed the OC for the developments taking place at Kawale that includes acquisition of various donations as a testament to good police- community relationship.
In conclusion, Mr Davie Chilalire promised chiefs of his committiment to serve them well and making sure that his team follow suit so as to meet the community’s expectations.
