OC Kawale bids farewell to his subordinates

The outgoing Officer In-charge (OC) for Kawale Police Station who is now the Commissioner of Police for Central East Region, Mr.Devlin Mwamkili, bid farewell to his subordinates following his recent promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police.

The newly decorated commissioner has left the station still fond of him and wished he continued working at the station in the same capacity .

Mwamkili thank to Almighty God for the unmerited promotion and also praised God for His abundant Grace, Mercy and Love.

He further thanked the officers for their commitment and dedication to duties during the time he has been at the Station.

He encouraged them to continue working hard and support the incoming OC so that Kawale Police and it’s lower police formations continue registering success stories.

He reiterated on the importance of teamwork because police work requires collaborative effort in order achieve the organization’s objectives.

Speaking before him was the Station Officer, Senior Superintendent Gladys Chiwaula who thanked the outgoing officer In-charge for his kindness and openness spirit which made the work environment conducive to every police officer.

She further asked the outgoing OC to continue with same spirit he showcased at the station for the benefit of the organisation.

Lastly, the General Duties Officer (GDO) Superintendent Mike Simika implored upon the officers to be prepared to quickly adjust themselves in view of the change in leadership to accommodate the leadership style of the incoming OC as leadership styles vary from person to another.

He therefore discouraged officers from the tendancy of comparing the leadership styles of the predessessor and the successor as this lops in division.

The GDO further expressed his gratitude to the outgoing OC for having a wonderful and successful tour of duty at Kawale Police which brought about unit, coordination and teamwork.
