NTCHEU CCAP ORDAINED THIRTY WOMEN INTO THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD WOMEN GUILD WING

Ntcheu CCAP of the Blantyre Synod has ordained thirty of its members into its Women’s Guild wing with a call for them to be light to the world.

Drawing inspiration from the book of Mathew 5 verse 16 during their ordination in the district, Moderator for Ntcheu Congregation of the Synod Reverend Dr. Austin Chimenya urged the women to lead by example for the restoration of an ethically upright society.

“Your conduct must be exemplary that they may glorify your Father in heaven,” he argued, advising them to be steadfast in prayer.

His remarks come in the wake of recent public concern following a spike in the number of Gender Based Violence including rape and defilement cases.

“It feels good to be of service to the Lord,” said one of the newly ordained members Limbani Kumpolota.

The thirty have been ordained after a year of classes, increasing the number of women’s guild membership in the district to about 330.
