A 28 year old man is in police custody at Kawale Police Station for buggery (sodomy) contrary to Section 153 (a) of the Penal Code.
The suspect, Vincent Lewis, has been arrested in the wee hours of October 5 ,2021.
The arrest comes following the complaint by a certain man who was staying together with the suspect in the same house for two months.
On the fateful night the victim went to a drinking joint and came back home to sleep while drunk.
While he was asleep, Lewis advanced himself towards him and had carnal knowledge against order of nature.
Further, the victim reported that earlier in the month of September 2021, he woke-up naked without knowing how he undressed himself and during the day he suffered abdominal pain, but he did not notice anything since he was drunk before going to bed.
After receiving the matter, Kawale Police arrested Lewis and he will appear in court soon to answer the charge leveled against him.
He hails from Kamphawi Village, Traditional Authority Nsamala in Balaka district.
