Lumbadzi Primary School student girls urged to remain in schools

In a continued effort of encouraging and keeping girl child in schools, Little Dresses for Africa (LDFA) in conjunction with Restored Hope for Better for Better Community (RHOBEC) organization have urged girl students to work hard in class inorder to achieve their intended goals.

Speaking during the school outreach program the two organisations had organised on Thursday August 11,2022 at Lumbadzi also known as Dzomba Primary School ground, girls have been motivated to remain in school.

In his speech, Coordinator for RHOBEC organization Gaddafi Mposa encouraged girl students to work hard in class a thing which will make them to be self reliant and good leaders in the future.

Mposa also highlighted issues of children human rights, sexual related offences, gender, environmental conversation just to mention but a few.

Director for LDFA Stella Mchawa agreed with RHOBEC’s coordinator by urging students to be ambitious by having goals and role models.

She further challenged them to refrain from sexual activities and early marriages which will lead them into pregnancies instead she advised them to abstain.

“Please abstain from immoral behaviors such as sexual activities. Abstainance begins with you. Never regret in future when things get sour”, said Mchawa.

So far, LDFA organization in partnership with RHOBEC has visited four primary schools in Lilongwe and Dowa districts with the outreach program where they have been donating dresses, underwears and washable sanitary pads which will lessen challenges for girls to avoid missing classes during their menstruation period.

Headmistress for the School, Mrs Chipiliro Chilopa hailed the aforementioned organizations for their visiting and donations.

She then encouraged other organizations to borrow a leaf from the two organisations by promoting and supporting girl child rights and education respectively.
