Avant Publications has discovered that Lieutenant Colonel Richmond Maulana of the Malawi Defence Force has donated school uniforms and shoes to more than 20 Learners at MAFCO Primary School.
After noticing that a number of learners walk bare footed when going to school and in torn clothes, the hearty military personnel was troubled.
Lieutenant Colonel Maulana entered into his personal savings to help the needy learners.
Using his funds, the MAFCO Lieutenant Colonel bought shoes and uniforms for the learners from Chilokoto Village in T/A Maganga, Salima district. This gesture brought a golden smile on the needy infant learners faces.
“It is a pleasure to assist these pupils since ‘help’ is the best investment in life, it touched me to see some dedicated learners attending classes with limitations due to challenges they encounter in getting their basic needs.
These are leaders of tommorrow and they deserve better.” Lt Colonel Maulana expressed.
