Kings Guard Service donates motorcycle and cement to Kang’oma Police Unit

As part of it’s corporate social responsibility, Kings Guard Service has donated a motorcycle and bags of cement to Kang’oma Police Unit which is under Kawale Police Station in Lilongwe.

The donation is a testimony to Kawale Police Station’s continued strides in creating and cementing more lasting relationships with the community.

The donation was made on Saturday, April 3, 2021 by the Managing Director of Kings Guard Services Company, Dr. Humphreys Shumba.

During the hand-over ceremony, Shumba said he did not hesitate to offer a helping hand when approached by the in-charge of the Police Unit, Sub Inspector John Namowa.

“I know how vital security is to an area, especially when you consider businesses taking place there.

“I personally discovered that this office is facing alot of problems when I faced a robbery case and their professionalism brought victory despite their limited resources,” he said.

He said being in the security industry himself, he is aware of the many challenges that security officers meet.

He further promised to come back with another donation in the coming months, citing housing or police cell reinforcement as possible projects in the offing.

Mr. Almakio Daka, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) who is Officer In-Charge for Kawale Police Station was thankful to the donor and promised to take care of the motorcycle.

“Most of our police officers are in remote areas and mobility is a huge problem.

“This donation has really energized us and I promise you that what you have done here will not be erased in our books forever,” he said stressing that the motorcycle will help a lot in investigations.

Daka further encouraged others to emulate the gesture and also come forward and make donations to the station saying they still face other problems.

Traditional Authority Tsabango and ward councilor for Mlodza ward Fabiano Lupanga also graced the occasion and were all grateful to Kings Guard Service for the donation.
