In a quest to curb early marriages and sexual exploitation Hon Madalitso Kamatcheni Kazombo MP for Kasungu east who is also the first deputy speaker in the August house has pledged to assist 100 girls re-sit for MSCE examinations.
The pledge comes barely two weeks after the Malawi National Examinations board (MANEB) has released MSCE results with 41% pass rate first ever worse results in a decade. Reports reaching avantmalawi Indicates that Hon Kazombo has already indentified more than 100 students to re-sit for the forth coming MSCE exams in Kasungu east.
As a pilot area, the following schools have been identified to allow students from Kasungu east enroll, Chimbowe, Mikuyu, Mtunthama, kachokoro and Chamama. As mentioned earlier, these are just pilot areas, the initiative is meant to roll out to the the whole country with the assistance from well wishers, championed by Hon Kazombo. As we were reporting close to 100 girls and 50 boys has already received scholarships to resit for MSCE exams
It is said, if a girl gets quality Education the whole village partakes from the same company. Let us therefore send our children back to school to resit MSCE Exams.
