Kawale Police Officer In-Charge, Mr Timothy Phiri Senior Assistance Commissioner of Police (SACP) on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 has laid the blue print to be followed by CPF teams within his policing area as the community members rendered a supportive hand in buying security equipments worthy K650,000.
Mr Timothy Phiri, SACP has equiped CPF members with knowledge and tips to follow during and after festive season.
In his speech, Mr Phiri hailed unity that exist among Kawale CPF members which is extended to other stakeholders,The Officer in Charge further advised members to be good stewards,work hand in hand with law enforcers and represent police well.
Unpacking his security plans and vision towards Christmas and new year celebrations he further promised police visibility as another tool to curb festive criminality
During the encounter with teams within Kawale, the Station Executive Chair, (SEC) Chiutira Subiri spearheaded the residents in donating the reflective jackets to Kawale police meant for CPF teams.
Meanwhile, over eighteen Community Policing Forums have been dressed up in new reflective jackets which will enhance visibility and also motivate the team members.
Sec Chair, Chiutira Subiri and his team took the burden on their shoulders in resource mobilisation .
Receiving the donation, Mr Timothy Phiri expressed his gratetitude for the gesture, he immediately ordered his subbordinates to distribute the items in haste.
Meanwhile, CPF teams under its lower formations of Area 44, Area 23, Area 24 Police Units have reached and over Eighteen community policing structures have been benefited from the donated items such as whilstles,torches, burton sticks and reflective jackets.
Speaking on behalf of CPF members, Prince Mpata from area 23 expressed his gratefulness to the Sec Committe and Kawale Officer in- Charge for the items and knowlege citing that it will improve uniformity in their service delivery.
He further promised to work extra hard to ensure a crime free festive season.
