Kawale Police officers urged to embrace Masm scheme .

Police officers under Kawale have on Monday , August 26,2024 urged to consider joining Medical Aid Society of Malawi (Masm) scheme under civil servant subsidy inorder to get off the hook of medical bills in time of sickness .

Welcoming the team from headquarters Mr David Chilarile (ACP), asked officers under his command to take a step and be a member through a monthly contribution .

The initiative which falls into three categories namely V.I.P, Excutive and Econoplan schemes .

The three schemes aims at benefiting all serving police officers in waivering hospital bills up to K72 million for VIP, K24 million for Executive and K6 million for Econoplan members.

Speaking during the meeting, Inspector Stewart Banda Masm desk officer from headquarters HR, highlighted the vast benefits of the schemes that include international medical treatment for those on VIP and Executive schemes which covers high ranking officers from Inspector and above.

While Sub-Inspector and below are on the lower broad band of the pyramid and falls under Econoplan with an annual contribution of K7200.

The team led by Senior Superintent Ceceilia Mtukule addresed some concerns and promised to refer some to Masm

After seing the value of being a member all officers present responded positively through a mass registration.

Additionally all members are eligible to visit Masm gym facilities
