The Independent Schools Association of Malawi is not happy government’s decision for form four students not to pay school fees ahead of the MSCE examinations retake.

They claim that they agreed with govt for the students to pay a proposed 20% fees in private schools which was then agreed, but are now surprised with the direction government has taken.

Government has put it straight that no one is to collect school fees from the embattled candidates including
practical fees which government saying that it will foot.

It remains a puzzle to head teachers especially in boarding schools as how they will accommodate the wards since government underfunds them.
