Foreign Affairs Minister supports Kawale Police hotline vision in crime fight

The art of protecting life, property and fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals needs effective communications when need arises but if it moves in chains and stages, before it reaches the officers on duty, it derails the message and police service delivery resulting in community dissatisfaction, fueling mob killings. It is from this background that the Officer in-Charge for Kawale Police Station, Mr Davie Chilalire (ACP) thought of having a hotline to address such challenges.

The idea caught the attention of Minister of Foreign Affairs Honorable Nancy Tembo who is also Member of Parliament (MP) for the area hence making the donation of the communication gadget as one way of actualizing the hotline vision.

Following this donation, the people within Kawale Policing areas will from this day, 26th November, 2024 onwards be able to reach call center 24/7 through Airtel line on 0995-404-188 and TNM line on 0885-606-207 for emergencies such as Traffic Road Accidents, Fire, Citizen arrest and the need to transport crime suspects.

Mr Davie Chilalire ACP extended his gratitude to the Honorable Minister in absentia for the gesture citing that it will help in timely reporting of incidents for Police action hence achieving the mandate of just-in time police service delivery.

He therefore urged Kawale residents to make use of the hotline for effective communication and assuredly of timely response .
