EKWENDENI EPILOGUE KAMUZU CHIBAMBO’S LEAGUES HIGHLIGHTED

On Sunday April 21, 2024, the leagues organized by Kamuzu Chibambo reached their climax at Ekwendeni.

With a sponsorship totaling about K2 million, the three leagues – Chikwati, pool, and fulayi – reached their pinnacle on Sunday at Ekwendeni trading centre.

Sschali Football team clinched the championship with 44 points, earning K200 thousand. Runners-up Devil Street FC received K150 thousand, while Rank United, in third place with 40 points, took home K100 thousand. Fourth-placed Trust Motors, with 36 points, received K70 thousand.

In the pool category, FAST M emerged as champions with 40 points, earning K200 thousand. Runners-up Hozani received K150 thousand for their 36 points. Third-placed Zenuzeni earned K100 thousand with 33 points, while Sunnyside received K70 thousand for their 27 points.

In the female category, especially in Fulayi, Devil Street claimed the championship, with Bulldozer as runners-up. Kwa George secured third place, with Msiki in fourth.

The Chikwati (Chikulunga) and pool leagues were sponsored with K750 thousand each, while fulayi was pegged at K500 thousand.

All ten participating teams received a token of appreciation of K15 thousand each.

Speaking after the finals in all categories, the league sponsor and president of the People’s Transformation Party, Kamuzu Chibambo, described the aim of organizing the leagues as keeping the youth engaged to prevent them from engaging in immoral behavior.
