A Magistrate’s Court in Blantyre has granted bail to Andrew Ngomwa, a senior official of Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) who is answering a charge of defilement.
Ngomwa, the Chief Commercial Officer, is alleged to have abused his 16-year-old niece and was ordered to pay K200,000 bail bond, surrender his traveling documents and he should be reporting to Blantyre Police once every two weeks.
The bail was granted by Senior Resident Magistrate Angela Dossi.
Ngomwa handed himself over to Police in Blantyre on October 12, a week after his case was reported to Police. —
