Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary have this morning handed themselves to Malawi Police headquarters, at Area 30 in Lilongwe.
This comes hours after the local law enforcers recieved a warrant of arrest for the Bushiri couple from the International Police- Interpol.
This development comes barely minutes after south African government issues another warrant of Arrest against Bushiri.
The Self-styled prophet, Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary, claims they have handed themselves to police in Lilongwe this morning following the injustice shown to them by South Africa.
Bushiri’s spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo has confirmed this to us. A police source tells avantmalawi that this follows a warrant of arrest issued by Interpol and served on the Malawi Police Service.
From the other hand, State House Director of Information Sean Kampondeni told the media Monday that President Lazarus Chakwera would not interfere with the course of justice in this matter. The Bushiris run away from South Africa last week where they are accused of fraud and money laundering of the monetary value of around R100m.
