Avantmalawi confirms the arrest of Bon Kalindo Aka Winiko for living in a house which was illegally connected to electricity.
The controversial comedian who is also the leader of concerned citizens group has been arrested earlier in the morning, according to Levy Luwemba who is also a member to concerned citizens.
Kalindo who is in the hands of Lilongwe police is expected to appear before court to answer charges of tampering with electricity equipment Act.
ESCOM officers who were accompanied by CID police officers went to Kalindo’s House to inspect suspected fraudulent electricity connections.
His arrest comes barely days after the Malawi Police withdrew another warrant of arrest for insulting the State President.
Kalindo, 46, hails from Njeza Village, Traditional Authority Mabuka in Mulanje District.
