MVERA CHIPIKU STORES ATTACKED BY ROBBERS

Police in Dowa have launched a manhunt for unknown criminals who have broken into Mvera Chipiku Stores and went away with assorted items last night.

Dowa Police publicist Sub-inspector Gladson M’bumpha has said this morning that the criminals are alleged to have stolen cigarettes and other property, adding that they also tampered with the cash chest by means of hooking.

M’bumpha said “information gathered indicates that the unknown criminals were using a black saloon motor vehicle”.

Meanwhile, the value of the items stolen is not known yet as police investigations are underway.
