The High court in Lilongwe will on September 8 2020 rule whether the arrests of Timothy Mtambo, Gift Trapence and other HRDC members were regular or not.
Their lawyer Khumbo Soko has confirmed.
Soko said his clients believe that their arrests were albitrary. Hence they sought the legal redress.
The High court had stayed the commencement of the trial at Chief Resident Magistrate court, pending for the ruling.
Mtambo, Trapence and their collegues were arrested this year in March when they wanted to organize demonstrations to shut down State residents, to force the former president Peter Mutharika to fire Jane Ansah(former MEC chairperson).
