Today marked a momentous occasion at Chiwenga CDSS as the school came together to celebrate the dedication and achievements of 19 outstanding teachers. The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) left no stone unturned in acknowledging these educators for their unwavering commitment to the noble profession of teaching and their students’ remarkable success in the recently concluded JCE and MSCE MANEB examinations.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Chaipa, the PTA committee chairperson, took the stage to commend the teachers for their tireless efforts in shaping the future. She aptly likened teaching to a team sport, emphasizing the crucial role each teacher plays as they guide students through their educational journey.
The PTA’s recognition came in two forms: a flat rate awarded to all teachers as a collective acknowledgment of their tireless work, and an additional package tailored to individual performance, intended to motivate and inspire them to scale greater heights.
In response, Mr. Paul Katunga, the headteacher of Chiwenga CDSS, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the PTA for their generous gesture. He lauded the PTA’s recognition as a source of inspiration for the school, fueling their determination to achieve even more in the upcoming academic year. Although students were not part of this particular ceremony, Chiwenga CDSS consistently honors their achievements each term with essential school supplies and captivating educational excursions.
This holistic approach to education reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic success but also a spirit of curiosity and exploration. Chiwenga CDSS stands proudly in Lilongwe Rural West, serving as an exemplar of excellence, motivating both teachers and students to reach for the stars.
