CHITSULO DONATES FACE MASKS TO SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Following the re-opening of schools, the Ministry of education advised students to have face masks in school as one way of preventing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

To help schools achieve this goal, Avant publications has established that Member of Parliament for Mwanza west constituency Honourable Joyce Chitsulo today donated face masks to Thawale form 4 students.

The coming of the novel Corona Virus Disease led to the closure of schools in Malawi to ensure the safety of students that they do not contract the disease.

The schools have recently re-opened with measures to follow to prevent the spread of the pandemic. This has therefore prompted Honourable Chitsulo to take a step in promoting education by donating 100 masks to students and teachers.

Honourable Chitsulo said that in a move that no student fail to report for school because of lacking face masks she thought it wise to make such donation.

The head teacher of the school Mr Soko thanked the Parliamentarian for the good gesture. Chitsulo wound up by encouraging the students to work hard.

Corona Virus Disease started in China in 2019. Several developments have taken place since Malawi registered the first victims to fight against the pandemic.
