The Ministry of Education has asked all school going young girls who
are in examination Classes and have beeen impregnated to return to
school and sit for primary School leaving Certificate of education and
Malawi School certificate of Education.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education Chikondano Mussa
told Zodiak Online on Tuesday that young girls impregnated should
not feel ashamed of their pregnancies but they should return to
school and write exams if their pregnancies are in early stages.
Meamwhile Chief Education Officer for Dedza Mr Julius Kamwaza
has told Zodiak Online that since the school were opened last week
Monday most students have not reported to school yet.
Mr Kamwaza has cited early pregnancies, early marriages and
COVID19 fears as reasons why some students are yet to report to
school.-
