England Finish Third at the 2026 FIFA World Cup

England beat France 6-4 finishing third-place match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a total of 10 goals scored.

England were in complete control during the first half, taking a 4-0 lead. Declan Rice scored in the 3rd minute, Ezri Konsa added the second in the 18th minute, and Bukayo Saka scored twice in the 37th minute and first-half stoppage time.

France fought back strongly after the break. Kylian Mbappé scored two goals, while Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé each scored once to reduce the gap.

Despite France’s comeback, England stayed in front. Saka completed his hat-trick with a penalty in the 87th minute, and Jude Bellingham scored a late goal in added time to seal a 6-4 victory and earn England the bronze medal.

Mbappé also made World Cup history by scoring his 22nd World Cup goal, moving ahead of Lionel Messi’s 21. He now has 10 goals in the 2026 tournament and leads the race for the Golden Boot. Messi, who has eight goals, will have a chance to add to his total in the World Cup final.
