Medical Council of Malawi has embarked on investigations due to increased reports which are indicating that the government is recruiting non qualified staff as laboratory technicians staff in our hospitals.
The acting Council Registrar Richard Ndovie added that the investigations will never leave any stone unturned as it will be extended to private hospital throughout the country and once found necessary action will follow.
The leader for Laboratory Forum for Unemployed, Zephaniah Katuah insisted to have been submitting the names of hospitals both public and private which have been employing the unqualified laboratory technicians in the country but there was no action taken to deal with the problem.
