Patriotic Balaka siblings have extended hands to district hospital in a fight against Corona virus disease (Covid-19).
Balaka Covid-19 Response Team was established over the weekend by those born in Balaka.
According to Avant Publications,the team’s spokesperson Deus Sandram stressed at the need of helping their hospital.
“We have noted that Balaka Hospital lacks materials to enable it fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
So we have established this team to benefit our medical institution,” he explained.
“Since established, we have raised close to K1.5 million kwacha cash and the money will be used to buy assorted materials to meet hospital needs,” said Sandram.
Those born at Balaka hospital though living in diaspora are part of the team.
To bring success,the team is working directly with District Health Office(DHO) and District Commissioner (DC)’s office.
