The Ministry of tourism, culture and wildlife has rejected the South African dancer and singer not to perform in Malawi. Michael usi has questioned Zonda’s dressing code as immoral for Malawi’s culture.
The development comes despite surity from the show organizers, Biggie Lu, who assured the Ministry of tourism and culture that Zodwa will throw a decent performance.
Zodwa wabantu has in the past performances in South Africa raised debates as she almost goes naked in stages while her performance is on going. The singer was deported from Zambia over similar issues
Zodwa was set to perform for Dominics hotel in Blantyre Malawi on 11 June 2022.
However, Censorship Board has written organisers of the event, Myuziki Pusha Entertainment, not to proceed with the show.
According to the letter, which we have seen, the board has made the decision after reviewing an application the entertainment stable made in the context of concerns regarding Zodwa’s controversial acts.
Born Zodwa Rebecca Libram and she is a South African Media personality, socialite and dance who has been in the game since 2015.
